Use Case
Video walls without the control room
Split one canvas across any grid of screens with frame-synchronized playback, or publish straight to NovaStar LED controllers, all managed from the same cloud dashboard as the rest of your screen fleet.
A video wall is a group of screens arranged to behave as one large display, with software splitting a single piece of content across them so each screen renders its assigned region in sync with the others.
How it works
Setting up video walls with Digisigns
- 1
Mount and pair the screens
Install the free player on each display in the grid, pair them with on-screen codes, and add them all to one Sync Play room.
- 2
Map the grid
In Split Screen mode, assign each screen its x/y coordinate range of the shared canvas, a 2×2 square, a 3×1 banner, or any arrangement your mounts allow.
- 3
Design and publish one layout
Build the content in Studio at the wall's full resolution. Publish once and every screen plays its own region in frame sync.
- 4
Or link a NovaStar LED wall
Connect NovaStar VNNOX cloud players to publish content, pull device logs and screenshots, and schedule power on and off.
Features that matter here
What makes Digisigns good at video walls
Sync Play rooms
Frame-synchronized playback across groups of screens, so panels never drift apart mid-video.
Split Screen coordinate mapping
Each screen takes an x/y region of one canvas, the software does the splitting, not an external processor.
NovaStar LED support
Link VNNOX cloud LED players, publish with an offline queue that retries until delivery, and pull logs and screenshots remotely.
Scheduled power for LED
NovaStar walls can power on and off on a schedule, so the wall runs only when the venue does.
Proof it played
Per-screen proof-of-play reports and an uptime timeline show what the wall showed, and when.
Design at any resolution
The Studio canvas takes custom dimensions, portrait, landscape or an unusual wall ratio, so content is built for the wall, not cropped to it.
TV walls and LED walls, one workflow
For walls built from TVs, install the player on each screen and add them to a Sync Play room. Split Screen mode gives every screen an x/y region of a single canvas, so a 2×2 or 3×1 grid plays one piece of content in frame sync. Design the layout in Studio at the wall’s full resolution, the canvas accepts any dimensions, portrait or landscape.
For LED, Digisigns links NovaStar VNNOX cloud players directly: publish content, pull device logs and screenshots, and let offline-queued publishing retry until the wall confirms delivery. LED walls can also power on and off on a schedule.
Part of the fleet, not a special case
A video wall on Digisigns sits in the same dashboard as your menu boards, lobby screens and advertising displays, same playlists, same schedules, same proof-of-play reporting and uptime timeline. Remote controls cover restart, brightness and volume, and offline email alerts flag a dark panel before a customer notices.
